Wildflowers

Gaunt and weak, he peers through the electrified wires of the concentration camp and spies wildflowers just outside of his reach. They are so beautiful. In a last act of bold defiance and endless love of life, he makes one final lunge toward the flowers. His final wish is to hold something of beauty one more time before he dies.

To represent his act of spiritual freedom, I have composed a portion of the enclosure in the form of a menorah.
